Stephanie Fellenberg, Psy.D.

Stephanie Fellenberg Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of Virginia (Lic# 0810003529).  She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA. During her undergraduate years, Dr. Fellenberg developed her passion for clinical psychology and was actively involved in reasearch on family and couples therapy. She continued on to earn her doctorate degree in clinical psychology at The Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology (a program jointly sponsered by the College of William & Mary, Eastern Virginia Medical School,  Norfolk State University, and Old Dominion University). During her graduate studies, she expanded on  her research on family and couples therapy, and gained experience with a wide variety of clients and clinical issues.

Dr. Fellenberg  completed her predoctoral internship in child clinical psychology at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. She then spent 2 years as postdoctoral fellow at Children's National Medical Center/The George Washington University School of Medicine  in Washington, DC, gaining expertise in the assessment and treatment of of young children (ages 0-5). In addition, she was awarded a one-year LEND Fellowship (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) while at Children's.

During her training and in private practice, Dr. Fellenberg has worked with children, adolescents, adults, parents, families, and couples. She has conducted mind-body workshops, parenting classes, and group therapy for a variety of issues. While she has extensive experience with a diverse set of populations and issues, some of her specialties include assessment and treatment of developmental and behavioral problems in preschoolers, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD assessment and treatment, parenting, couples therapy, and weight management issues in children and adults.

Dr. Fellenberg is  a native of Germany who also studied at the University of Cologne, where she majored in Psychology and Kinesiology. Her passion for physical activity, wellness, and nutritional health are reflected in her emphasis on the mind-body connection when working with clients.
